Kelly Fowler Cleans Up

Kelly Fowler from Willington achieved Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration and employment at Poppies as Office Administrator.

Ever since Kelly was little she wanted to work in an office and gain as many qualifications as she could. She chose to do an Apprenticeship with Durham Business Club as she liked the idea of on the job experience and getting paid whilst training.

Kelly enjoys the computer work and real pressures of work, which the responsibility of office administrator brings. She is responsible for the day to day running of Poppies.

Elizabeth Richardson owner of Poppies says “Kelly is a total asset to my Business she has an excellent attitude towards her work, is willing to take on challenges and eager to learn we receive good feedback from our clients and Kelly is confident enough to manage our staff and make decisions on a daily basis.  Elizabeth chose to recruit an Apprentice through Durham Business Club due to the support the employer and apprentice receive, regular reviewing of progress and offering a helping hand with issues or queries.

Kelly said doing the advanced apprenticeship gave an insight in to the professional attitude required for real work, particularly enjoyed customer service and learning how to follow departmental procedures to complete tasks at work.
