Katie makes it a Full House

When Katie Dixon completed and achieved her apprenticeship qualification this year she took Durham Business Club's results for learner achievement in Business Administration to a fantastic 100%.

Katie spent her apprenticeship training with Sure Start in Chester-le-Street where she is now employed. Having successfully completed the Apprenticeship in Business Administration, and two computer courses through her employer, she is hoping to progress on to an Advanced Apprenticeship this summer.

Asked why she had chosen to do an Apprenticeship Katie said, ‘’I heard about Apprenticeships and decided to do Business Administration with Durham Business Club. I liked the idea of being paid and trained in the workplace and actually doing the job and progressing at my own pace.’’

Director of Work Based Learning for the Business Club, Susan Matthews, said, ‘’Every one of this year’s Business Administration Apprentices has achieved their qualification and all but two of them are now in full time employment. With their qualifications under their belts I have no doubt that those two will also soon be employed. We would like to congratulate all of the trainees on their success and thank the placement employers who have made these success rates possible.’’
