Lindy Jazz Director, Joo-Lee Stock, said: “Learning dances including the Lindy Hop and the Charleston are a great way to lose weight, have fun and feel healthier. The six-week beginners courses are very gentle and easy to learn. No previous dance experience is necessary, so please do not feel intimated if you have never taken dance classes before. Come wearing whatever makes you feel comfortable, no special clothes or a partner are required. At the end of the course, participants will have good social dancing skills to wow friends and family.”
Six-week courses begin at the following venues:
All Saints Church, Newton Hall, Durham from Thursday 8th July at 2pm and again from Monday 13th September at 12 noon.
